🔹 First-year students of Kyiv Medical University have started their summer clinical practice as part of the international KMU Summer Camp program!
🔹 The first training site is our long-standing partner — Szpital Nr 2 w Mysłowicach, a multidisciplinary hospital with departments in internal medicine, surgery (including trauma/orthopedics), ophthalmology, rehabilitation, anesthesiology, emergency care, and more.
🔹 The first days were dedicated to getting students familiar with the Polish healthcare system. Through lectures and workshops led by experienced hospital managers, students learned about hospital structure, the rights of doctors and patients, medical budgeting and financing, clinical documentation, and digital systems used in Polish hospitals.
🩺 Thanks to this introductory stage, students are better prepared to integrate into the local medical environment and confidently begin hands-on work in clinical departments.
💬 Special thanks to Ms. Aneta Saługa, oncology coordinator, for guiding our students through the hospital’s structure and documentation standards.
🙏 We sincerely thank our Polish partners for their support, openness, and the opportunity to immerse our students in a real clinical setting — already from their first year!
