Lecture Topic: “Aesthetic Medicine in Poland: Law, Education and Standards of Practice”

Speaker: Zofia Stefanik
Zofia Stefanik is a dentist and a graduate of the Medical University of Silesia. She is currently completing her postgraduate internship at the University Dental Centre in Katowice.

She has also completed postgraduate studies in Aesthetic Medicine at the Upper Silesian Academy in Katowice. For over a year, she has worked alongside Dr. Ekkert, gaining practical experience in modern aesthetic medicine procedures.

During the lecture, you will learn:
  • what modern aesthetic medicine is and how this field is developing;
  • which procedures it includes and where the boundaries lie between aesthetic medicine, cosmetology, and plastic surgery;
  • who is legally authorised to perform aesthetic procedures in Poland;
  • what education, qualifications, and professional titles are required;
  • what the professional pathway in aesthetic medicine looks like and what educational opportunities are available;
  • how to assess the quality and safety of procedures and choose reliable sources of professional information.
