Press-conference: «Kyiv Medical University in Evacuation: The Fight for Ukrainian Medical Education During Wartime»

On November 5, in Warsaw, the Kyiv Medical University team, together with their Polish partners, held a press conference to share the achievements of the university’s partial relocation to Poland.

At the event, our accomplishments were presented to media representatives—from strong partnerships to a comfortable environment created for high-quality learning and work for KMU’s student and teaching community, with the powerful support of the local and political community of Bytom!

We are especially grateful for the immense support and personal presence of the President of the Association of Regional and District Hospitals of the Silesian Voivodeship (uniting 27 hospitals), Mr. Władysław Perchaluk, as well as the Managing Director of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Slawomir Szymusiak. These partnerships vividly demonstrate the strong connections we have built to enhance practical training and medical education for our students!
In addition to quality education, we strive to provide our students with comfortable learning and living conditions. Through the cooperation and support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), we have created spaces for recreation and sports to promote balanced development, as well as comfortable housing that meets students’ needs.
While much work lies ahead, we are proud of our achievements and remain committed to our mission—to train the next generation of medical professionals 💪🏻
