Students of the Faculty of Dentistry at KMU Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University have launched a series of educational visits to kindergartens in Katowice as part of one of the university’s key missions — promoting preventive dental care and health education.

Within this initiative, four kindergartens are planned to be visited. Two visits have already taken place, and two more are scheduled in the coming days.

During the meetings, students explain to children in an accessible and interactive way the importance of oral hygiene and prevention of dental caries. They also conduct an educational card game “Healthy and Unhealthy Food”, where children learn to distinguish foods that are beneficial for teeth from those that may contribute to tooth decay.

The initiative is implemented as part of the Polish educational and preventive programme “Polska mówi AAA”. Children actively participate in the activities and receive small gifts — apples and themed colouring books.

At the same time, Dental Week is currently taking place at Kyiv Medical University — both at the main campus in Kyiv and at the KMU Polish Campus — dedicated to World Oral Health Day (March 20). Many additional educational and practical activities are planned throughout the week.

Kyiv Medical University continues its mission of promoting preventive healthcare and contributing to the wellbeing of the youngest members of society.
