On August 28, 2025, as part of the KMU Summer Medical Camp, our students had the unique opportunity to visit the European Health Tech Innovation Center (EHTIC) in Zabrze, Poland — a state-of-the-art research facility driving innovation in biomedical engineering and medical technologies.
EHTIC, based on the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, serves as a hub for interdisciplinary research, promoting cutting-edge medical technologies and supporting international collaboration between engineers, physicians, physiotherapists, and experts from related fields.
During the visit, students were impressed by the wide range of high-tech laboratories, including:
EHTIC’s ultra-modern biomedical engineering labs are at the forefront of research in artificial intelligence, telemedicine, and medical informatics. Its advanced infrastructure provides a solid foundation for developing and implementing innovative medical technologies and products that improve prevention, early diagnosis, effective treatment, and rehabilitation.
For our students, this visit was an unforgettable experience — a day filled with learning, inspiration, and a glimpse into the future of modern scientific life. They have truly stepped closer to the world of cutting-edge medical research and innovation.
