Professional Oral Hygiene: Practical Experience at KMU Summer Medical Camp

As part of the KMU Summer Medical Camp, students of the Faculty of Dentistry at Kyiv Medical University had the opportunity to attend a workshop on professional oral hygiene, conducted by our talented student Anastasiia Tycha.

🔹 During the session, Anastasiia demonstrated her own professional equipment — the VRN Q6 unit, which includes advanced cleaning technology, a built-in scaler, Airflow system, and supports three clinical modes:

– periodontological,

– therapeutic,

– endodontic.

🔹 The students learned about:

– proper care techniques for implants and crowns,

– in-office and at-home teeth whitening methods,

– non-invasive treatment of early-stage caries using Icon Vestibular technology.

🔹 The practical part of the workshop allowed participants to observe clinical protocols in real time and ask detailed questions.

🔹 Anastasiia also emphasized the importance of professional oral hygiene in disease prevention and expressed her readiness to involve representatives of top oral care brands such as Elmex, G.U.M., and Curasept in future sessions.
