On June 12, 2025, a solemn graduation ceremony took place at the Session Hall of the City Council of Bytom for the graduates of the Polish Campus of Kyiv Medical University. This was already the Fifth graduation ceremony held in Bytom and the twenty-eighth in the history of the university, which was founded in 1992 in Kyiv.

The event brought together students, faculty members, university partners, representatives of local authorities, and honorary guests. This year, young professionals from Ukraine, Nigeria, Iran, India, Tanzania, Ghana, Ireland, Turkey, Pakistan, Algeria, Israel, and the United Kingdom joined the growing international alumni community of the university.

The ceremony was not only a celebration of academic achievement, but also a powerful symbol of the resilience of Ukrainian education and science. Despite the challenges caused by the ongoing war, Kyiv Medical University continues to fulfill its mission — to train highly qualified medical professionals.

Thanks to the sincere support and solidarity of Polish partners, it was possible to hold this important event in the city of Bytom.

The graduation also served as an opportunity to meet with university partners from the healthcare sector of Silesia, as well as representatives from the educational, civic, and cultural spheres — including a charity organization that promotes cultural diversity in Poland.

The new graduates now join the ranks of thousands of Kyiv Medical University alumni who are already working around the world, caring for people’s health and saving lives.
