On March 12, 2026, Kyiv Medical University hosted a guest lecture within the "KMU Voices" project delivered by Dr. André den Exter – an internationally recognized expert in health law, bioethics, and health policy, and Associate Professor of Health Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
The lecture, titled “Health Care Rationing: Is it Evil?”, became a starting point for an in-depth discussion on the complex ethical and legal challenges faced by modern health care systems.

The lecture sparked a lively discussion among the academic community, as the fair distribution of medical resources remains one of the key challenges for modern medicine.
The event was made possible thanks to the cooperation between Kyiv Medical University and the European Association of Health Law. Currently, KMU is the only university in Ukraine that has an official partnership agreement with this organization.
The KMU Voices initiative continues to unite international experience, contemporary knowledge, and new ideas, creating an intellectual space for future physicians and researchers.
